In 2013, Whisk started it’s mission to help people around the world discover, save and enjoy cooking
great food by making recipes easy to find & add to a grocery shopping list.
Whisk.com’s founder and CEO is Nick Holzherr, who first pitched the business idea to Lord Sugar on BBC One’s The Apprentice. Nick made it to the final round of The Apprentice and then secured private investment to build Whisk.com. In 2013, we launched our first product: a smart grocery shopping list tool that helps people around the world discover, save and enjoy recipes and food.
In early 2016, we rolled out a personalized recipe recommendation service. Using our Food Genome™ platform, Whisk examines flavour profile of dishes, nutritional value, relationships between ingredients, and how food is cooked.
This gives us the ability to make smart recipe suggestions based upon an individual’s palette, taking into consideration allergies and dietary preferences.
Whisk.com is a globally distributed team with hubs in Birmingham, Edinburgh and Moscow.
