Information we save in cookies:
|Purpose||Cookies We Use And Functionality They Enable|
These cookies are required to enable core site functionality. We also include cookies that allow us to analyze site usage so that we can measure and improve performance and provide customer support.
|Identity: We use a cookie to track the identity of our users and provide secure log-in, so that they may recover their lists. This is a long-lived cookie rather than a session cookie. |
Preferences/Activity: We store user preferences inside cookies to retain the choice of user language, regions, and preferred supermarkets (where online checkout is available) and to track some user-interface settings, such as whether the user has already seen tutorial materials and what items are in your shopping list.
Usage measurement/Analytics: We use a number of third-party tools to track Whisk user behaviour, so we can see which functionality our users are using, and whether or not they are having issues with it.
Google Analytics is used to track generic page-view behaviour within Whisk. Mixpanel & Intercom are used to track specific events generated by interactions with Whisk.
Pardot tracks visitor and prospect activities on Whisk. Cookies are set to remember preferences (like form field values) when a user returns to our site.
We use Hotjar and Smartlook to collect data and record sessions to understand our users’ behavior online (e.g. how much time they spend on which pages, which links they choose to click, what users do and don’t like, etc.) and their device information in order to optimize Whisk services and experiences.
Optimize is our chosen A/B testing tool. Optimize utilizes analytics cookies to target content variants to a user and a content experiment cookie to determine a user’s participation in an experiment.
These cookies are used by advertising companies to serve ads that are relevant to your interests.
|Advertising: If you visit our website (this is not the same as our application) we use the following retargeting cookies to show you advertisements for our service on third party websites: Facebook Pixel, LinkedIn & DoubleClick (Google) are used to target adverts (show you an advert on each platform if you’ve visited our website), measure cross device conversion, retargeting, and optimising adverts.|
How to provide or withdraw consent to the installation of Cookies
In addition to what is specified in this document and the other policies, the User can manage preferences for Cookies directly from within their own browser and prevent – for example – third parties from installing Cookies.
Through browser preferences, it is also possible to delete Cookies installed in the past, including the Cookies that may have saved the initial consent for the installation of Cookies by this website.
Users can, for example, find information about how to manage Cookies in the most commonly used browsers at the following addresses: Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari, and Microsoft Internet Explorer.
Notwithstanding the above, the Owner informs that Users may follow the instructions provided on the subsequently linked initiatives by the EDAA (EU), the Network Advertising Initiative (US) and the Digital Advertising Alliance (US), DAAC (Canada), DDAI (Japan) or other similar services. Such initiatives allow Users to select their tracking preferences for most of the advertising tools. The Owner thus recommends that Users make use of these resources in addition to the information provided in this document.
