We’re delighted to announce that Whisk has been awarded a spot in the Everyday Essentials category of the Google Play Best of 2020 Awards.
Since the Whisk app launched in December of 2019, our team has been working hard to help people with the essentials of cooking great recipes—smoothing out the process of discovering, saving, shopping, and cooking great food. As the pandemic emerged, we saw rapid growth in home cooking and grocery shopping online with Whisk powering nearly 800M recipe interactions across our ecosystem every month. We’re proud to be helping home chefs and novices alike navigate their everyday kitchen needs, especially in such uncertain times.
Since launching a year ago, Whisk has added:
- Communities: Collaborative spaces where users can share their favorite recipes with all Whisk users, or just with their close circle. Users have built a library of tens of thousands of recipes on Whisk.
- Meal Planner: A tool for planning, shopping, and cooking any recipe saved to Whisk. Whisk users have added over 350k recipes to their meal plans since launch.
- Search: Ability to search Whisk for Communities and Community recipes by recipe type, ingredient, and more.
- Kroger partnership: Whisk users in 35 US states can now purchase ingredients for their latest recipe from any of the Kroger family of stores for curbside pickup or delivery.
One thing we know about Whisk is that it’s better when you use it with the people you care about.
